(Last revision: June 22, 2009)

Politique de confidentialité en français...

The following states Liveclicker's Privacy policies and principles.

If users have questions or concerns regarding this statement, they should first contact Liveclicker by email at privacy@liveclicker.com.

Information Collection and How Liveclicker uses it

From our Web Site visitors:

In order to view the demo of our product, Liveclicker will collect your personally identifiable information (PII) that you volunteer in any of our forms, such as name, company, title, address, phone, fax and email address. Liveclicker uses this information so that you can receive the content and information you requested in viewing our demo. This information is not revealed to any third parties for marketing purposes without your permission (via opt-out). We may disclose personal information when required by law, or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary in order to conform to the edicts of the law, or comply with a legal process served on our Web site.

The PII you volunteer may be used to contact you to supply you with more information regarding our services. We may also use your PII to relay administrative information, such as changes to services, privacy policy updates, and pricing structure.

From Clients using our Liveclicker service:

Liveclicker is a hosted Application Service Provider (ASP) for managing video commerce applications. Any data that we collect is owned by the client Web site, not by Liveclicker. The results of our analysis are reported via a secure Web interface. Liveclicker collects anonymous visitor information like IP addresses, browser types (such as Internet Explorer or Netscape), referring pages, pages visited and time spent on the Web site. Liveclicker collects this non-personally identifiable information for the following purposes: (1) improving the delivery of video content (2) to provide anonymous statistical analysis of Web page traffic patterns to our customers for their Web sites; (3) to administer our Web site and servers, (4) to allow for auditing of our services by third parties, and (5) to improve our services. The only PII we collect is the user ID, username and password on the login page, for confidentiality and security reasons.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site or any Liveclicker custome's site. We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. For the session ID cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the user's hard drive for an extended period of time. Persistent cookies can be removed by following Internet browser help file directions.

It is Liveclicker's policy to use cookies only for more accurate anonymous traffic analysis such as tracking the time/date of the visit, the pages viewed, the referring url. The cookie information does not include personal data such as name, age, phone number, e-mail address or mailing address. In addition, Liveclicker does not link cookies to personal data such as name, age, phone number, e-mail address or mailing address. As we do not build a database of individual visitors, the data that we do collect is never stored in any individual user profile; the data collected serves only to update aggregate counts allowing our customers to monitor traffic on their site. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. If you would prefer, you can set your browser to reject cookies, or can opt-out of cookie-tracking by clicking here.

Java Scripting

Liveclicker customers use customized JavaScript tracking code provided by Liveclicker to track anonymous information about their Web site visitors' activity. This code contacts Liveclicker servers, receiving a response with the proper video that should be sent back to the user. This JavaScript does not collect personal information such as name, age, phone number, mailing address or credit card numbers from visitors to our customer's Web sites. Visitors may elect to opt out of receiving tracking cookies for all sites using Liveclicker services.

Log Files

Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, connection speed, read time, display time and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information. IP addresses are tied to personally identifiable information to enable our Web-based service.

Updating Information

In order to update personally identifiable information previously provided to Liveclicker, send an email to: privacy@Liveclicker.com.

Opt-Out of Mailings

In order to opt out of receiving future information, send an email to: privacy@Liveclicker.com.

Notification of Changes

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.

If, however, we are going to use users' personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify users via email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. However, if users have opted out of all communication with the site, or deleted/deactivated their account, then they will not be contacted, nor will their personal information be used in this new manner. In addition, if we make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect user information already stored in our database, we will post a prominent notice on our Web site notifying users of the change. In some cases where we post a notice we will also email users, who have opted to receive communications from us, notifying them of the changes in our privacy practices.

Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with an appropriate law enforcement investigation, current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our Web site.
